Makayla Orr
I am originally from Bethlehem, GA and now I live in Statesboro, GA. I attended Georgia Southern University and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I grew up with a dad who is a photographer which ultimately helped me find my own passion for photography. I have always loved capturing moments wether that be spending time with friends, my nieces and nephews, country concerts, Georgia football games, being at the beach, or spending quality time with family. I have always been the one with the camera around my neck since middle school and I am glad to say nothing has changed in my adult life. I also enjoy other hobbies such as reading, painting, making buttons, and cooking.
My approach
My approach to photography is relaxed, collaborative, and focused on authenticity. I believe the best photos come from real moments rather than stiff poses, so I work to create a comfortable environment where clients can be themselves and enjoy the experience. I pay close attention to lighting, details, and natural interactions while also giving gentle direction when needed so no one feels unsure in front of the camera. My goal is to blend creativity with genuine emotion, resulting in images that feel natural, timeless, and true to each person’s personality.
